Welcome to Al-Maun Welfare Foundation Canada

Al-Maun Welfare Foundation Canada is an independent, non-profit organization based in Central Alberta, Canada dedicated to provide Islamic religious activities according to the Book of Allah, the Qur’aan, and the authentic teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (sallaa Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). Since its inception on August 2020, the foundation has established and managed two masjid in Central Alberta region- one at Sylvan Lake and the other one at Lacombe.

About Sylvan Lake Islamic Center, Sylvan Lake

Sylvan Lake is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 25 kilometers west of the City of Red Deer. It is situated on the southeast edge of Sylvan Lake, a 15-kilometer-long freshwater lake, in Red Deer County. Sylvan lake is a small town with a nice touristic scene and a beautiful place for communal respect. The place attracts many Muslims to spread Islam in this area. Accordingly, an old city hall of Sylvan lake has been rented as a Masjid and started as a center for Dawa’h and religious activity. Presently located at 4926 50 Ave, Sylvan Lake Islamic Center – a landmark of communities in the surrounding neighborhoods of the sylvan lake is serving a growing community with a wide variety of ethnicities and cultures. The Masjid is open 24/7 to serve the needs of the Muslims and offers five times daily prayers and Juma’a prayer. In addition, we offer Qur’an Class and weekly Qur’an and Hadith halaqah open to the general public on a number of Islamic topics, as well as host special events with resident and guest speakers.

About Lacombe Islamic Center (Baitul Falah), Lacombe

Lacombe is a city in central Alberta, Canada. It is located approximately 25 kilometers north of Red Deer, the nearest major city, and 125 kilometers south of Edmonton, the nearest metropolitan area. Lacombe Islamic center was established in February 2020. The Masjid has been the dream of the community for many years – to establish a permanent facility for worship. With the mercy of Allah, and once again the support from the community the need has once again been fulfilled. The Islamic center’s goal is to increase awareness of the essence and beauty of Islam upon its correct principles to cultivate and educate ourselves, as well as the community in general. Presently located at 5124 52 St, Lacombe Lake Islamic Center is serving a growing community with a wide variety of ethnicities and cultures. The Masjid is open 24/7 to serve the needs of the Muslims and offers five times daily prayers and Juma’a prayer. In addition, we offer Qur’an Class and weekly Qur’an and Hadith halaqah open to the general public on a number of Islamic topics, as well as host special events with resident and guest speakers.

Objectives

Al-Maun welfare Foundation has the followings objectives:
1.To provide a convenient facility for five times daily Islamic prayer to the Muslim community in Canada.
2.To provide facilities for all ages to learn to read/memorize the Holy Quran and study about Islam on weekdays and weekends.
3.To establish a full-time Islamic school (elementary Islamic school) and higher religious school.
4.To help poor and needy financial as well as moral support for family counseling, foodbank collections
and distributions ,funeral service support.
5. Integration of new canadian muslim immigrants in the muslim community.
6. Support emergency aid when disasters occur nationwide.
